Hi! I'm Lauren
I come to the mental health field with a unique background and skill set. For 13 years, I worked in the corporate world at Google as a successful Human Resources partner. Coming to the field of therapy as a second career, after over a decade of well-rounded professional experience, has helped me to bring a more comprehensive perspective, empathy, and understanding of different life phases and real world issues that clients face every day in their personal and professional lives.

I am also a parent and this is an important part of my life. I have a comprehensive understanding of child and adolescent development, and parenting skills, to support kids and parents on their journey toward well being. Like many parents, my kids keep me busy and on my toes with their various activities and sports. I find that parenting is a deeply personal experience, yet so many of the struggles we face are familiar. I enjoy supporting fellow parents as they learn to chart the best path forward based on the unique needs of their family.
Personal journey
For much of my young adult life, my inner voice was quiet and suppressed. I had learned and mastered the art of people-pleasing and living a life on someone else’s terms and version of success. I knew there was a more authentic path calling to me, but I wasn’t sure how to find it. This misalignment led to years of burnout and stress that I hid from the world. Outwardly, everything was going great, but inside I felt a tornado of stress, insecurity and a belief that I would never be ‘enough’.

After years of hard work and self reflection, I found my purpose. I completed a masters degree in Social Work at University of Southern California, as well as multiple years (over 4,000+ hours) of clinical field work. I find so much joy and inspiration when I connect with individuals on a deeply human level to help them unlock their most authentic well being and potential.

If you, too, are seeking alignment and a greater sense of well being, I promise there is hope. When we identify and meet our mental health needs, we can unlock potential in so many dimensions of our life – personal relationships, physical health, family life and professional pursuits.

Through my combined 20 years of experience in therapeutic mental health counseling and human resources, I can offer knowledge and tools to support you in your journey.
Outside the office
In my personal time, I enjoy getting out in nature which has a very healing and peaceful effect for me. I have two dogs that I love to take on walks and hikes. One of my dogs, Willow (a Blue Heeler) enjoys visiting the therapy office! I also enjoy creative outlets including watercoloring and piano. I am an avid reader both for fun and for professional development, and I am always sharing useful insights from books and articles I’ve read that I think can resonate with clients. Some of my clients have actually enjoyed reading books together to discuss our learnings.
